Elaine Russo,
Life is so often lived in the “in-between”.
Life is so often lived in the "in-between". Between the past we thought we had left
behind and the future we want that seems so close, yet at the same time, so far away.
In between the person we want to be and the things we do not want to do yet still see
ourselves doing. In between hope and despair. All the while, we attempt to untangle the
mess of emotions, which, the more we try, seems to get even more tangled.
I get it. Life is messy.
As a fellow sojourner, I am committed to walking alongside you to help lead you to your
breakthrough and regain agency over your mind and emotions through trauma-
informed, attachment-reframing healing. There is no one-size-fits-all counseling
modality—my approach is to tailor it to you and your circumstances.
I am experienced in helping those experiencing transitional stress, grappling with
depression and anxiety, and recovering from spiritual abuse and trauma. I am also
specialized in crisis pregnancy options counseling and post-abortion recovery healing. I
am deeply passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their true identity and experience transformation from the inside out.
I have my master’s in counseling and am currently obtaining a doctorate in counseling
and psychology. Beyond academics, the person I bring into each counseling encounter
has herself experienced transformation and hope in the midst of despair and desires to
see others experience the same. I do not pretend to have the answers, but my goal, as
a Christian therapist, is to lead you to One who does. I fully respect whatever your faith
tradition is, whether you have one, and will adapt my therapeutic work to where you are
at.
